Beverage Director/Event Manager - Jefferson Reports To:General Manager
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Beverage Director to plan, organize and oversee our bar services at The Jefferson in Jeffersonville, IN.
The Beverage Director’s responsibilities include handling customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, staffing for events, and day of coordination for the bar program.
Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of customer service, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for the beverage industry.
Ultimately, the role of the Beverage Director is to ensure a high-quality, cost-effective and consistent bar services that exceeds customer expectations for our events. The ideal candidate should have a strong event background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the mixology industry.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential customers
• Respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and negotiate contracts for onsite bar services
• Be organized and staffed appropriately to ensure exact execution of the event
• Conduct tastings for potential clients (as requested)
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
• Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase bar services • Create beverage packages for onsite events which include high end bar service
• Meeting with clients to understand and document their bar needs and preferences
• Organizing and supervising the work of the bar team
• Manage schedules for the event bar staff
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Controlling budgets and minimizing expenditure by efficiently managing resources
• Handling customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly
• Conducting regular inventory checks and ordering supplies as necessary
• Recruiting, training, and managing staff to provide high-quality service Requirements and Skills
• Proven experience in beverage management and event management
• Strong sales skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of bar and event industry trends, pricing, and customer preferences
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
