Rebel Bourbon is once again tapping into NASCAR star power, rolling out a new limited-edition Rebel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel 2026 “Selected By Kyle Busch” as part of its ongoing partnership with Richard Childress Racing.
Billed as the official bourbon of Richard Childress Racing, Rebel is bringing back its annual single barrel program for a second year, this time with every barrel hand-picked by two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch alongside Rebel Bourbon Master Distiller John Rempe. The 2026 release is bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV), a nod to Rebel’s sponsorship of Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet on the NASCAR circuit.
Handcrafted to Rebel’s original wheated recipe dating back to 1849, the Kyle Busch 108 Single Barrel is aged four years, with the brand promising a robust flavor profile, a velvety-smooth finish and a touch of spice. The special edition ships this month with nationwide distribution, carrying a minimum suggested retail price of $39.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
The 2026 single barrel is presented in Rebel’s signature bottle, embossed with Lux Row Distillers branding and dressed up in race-day livery. A gold label overlays a checkered-flag pattern and prominent Richard Childress Racing marks, flanked by Busch’s familiar No. 8 and his signature. Each bottle is further individualized with barrel-specific information including barrel number and fill date, underscoring the one-of-a-kind nature of each single barrel selection.
Philip Lux, brand manager for Rebel Bourbon, says the collaboration is designed to mirror both the driver’s and the brand’s attitude on the track and on the shelf. “Kyle and the RCR team stand out as real rebels, doing things their own way with a defiant attitude to drive to win, and that lifestyle is what Rebel Bourbon is all about,” Lux said in announcing the release.
Busch, now in his third year racing with Rebel on the No. 8 Chevrolet, returned to Bardstown to work with Rempe on this latest single barrel run. “For the third year now I’m proud to race with the Rebel brand, and having the opportunity to create another run of KB 108 with Rebel’s John Rempe has been a total thrill,” Busch said. “I’m proud to have my name and the No. 8 on every bottle and I think fans are really going to enjoy it.”
Rebel plans to take that connection trackside during the 2026 season, with bottle signings and fan engagements featuring both Busch and Rempe in key NASCAR markets. Busch will wheel the No. 8 Rebel Bourbon Chevrolet in select Cup Series races, including the DuraMAX Grand Prix on March 1 in Austin, Texas, giving retailers and on-premise accounts opportunities to build displays and activations around race weeks.
Distilled in Bardstown, Kentucky, by Lux Row Distillers Master Distiller John Rempe, Rebel leans on a wheated mash bill tied to its original Stitzel-Weller–era recipe from 1849. In recent years, the brand has pushed further into premium territory, particularly with its Rebel 10-Year Single Barrel, which has collected top industry honors including Single Barrel American Whiskey of the Year at the 2025 Bartender Spirits Awards. Rebel 10-Year also grabbed double platinum at the 2025 ASCOT Awards, double gold at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and both a double gold and Consumer’s Choice Award at the 2025 SIP Awards.
The Kyle Busch 108 Single Barrel is positioned as a more accessible limited offering that still plays into that quality narrative—an annual, nationwide release designed to bridge Rebel’s racing partnership with its growing single barrel credentials. For buyers looking to slot in a NASCAR tie-in that still drinks like a serious wheated bourbon, the 108-proof expression offers everyday price-point appeal with built-in fandom and collectible packaging.
Behind Rebel is St. Louis–based Luxco, now the Branded Spirits division of MGP Ingredients, which manages a broad spirits portfolio across four distilleries in the U.S. and Mexico. Rebel itself is produced at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, where sibling bourbon brands include Ezra Brooks and Blood Oath, alongside Yellowstone Bourbon at Limestone Branch and several 100% agave tequilas from Destiladora Gonzalez Lux in Arandas, Mexico.
On the racing side, Richard Childress Racing continues to leverage the Rebel tie-in as part of a multi-race primary sponsorship with Busch and the No. 8 team, positioning the wheated bourbon as the “official bourbon” of the organization. For retailers and bar programs, that means ongoing NASCAR-themed packaging, in-store features and social media content around Busch, RCR and Rebel’s “defiantly smooth” positioning—plus a fresh annual single barrel that gives bourbon and motorsports fans something new to chase each season.
