The relaunch of Formosa Springs, featuring still and sparkling water, follows a strategic acquisition led by wellness entrepreneur Nicholas Reichenbach, returning the historic artesian spring to its founding lineage and a philosophy of generational wellness.
Formosa Springs, one of North America’s oldest mineral water sources, is relaunching under new ownership led by wellness entrepreneur Nicholas Reichenbach, whose family helped bottle the spring in the 1980s. The brand is being repositioned as a premium, heritage-driven mineral water focused on long-term stewardship and “generational wellness.”
Water is drawn from the original artesian spring in Formosa, Ontario and bottled at the source, naturally filtered through limestone and mineral-rich rock. The first products will be still and sparkling mineral water in 750ml glass bottles and 355ml slim cans, with more formats in development. A direct-to-consumer subscription service with white-glove delivery and a loyalty program launches in April 2026, followed by major Canadian retail distribution in May and U.S. natural and wellness channels in Fall 2026.
Formosa Springs operates a 44,000-square-foot manufacturing campus on a 10-acre site, with glass bottling capacity of over 100 million units annually and planned aluminum can capacity of up to 100 million cans, plus co-packing for other beverage brands. Established in 1870, the site has a 155-year legacy built around its natural spring, and the company now aims to carry that legacy forward with a focus on authenticity, quality, and mineral water as a daily wellness ritual.
