The Glenlivet Goes “Beyond Speyside” with Jamaica-Inspired 12 Year Old Edition

The Glenlivet is taking its signature Speyside single malt on a tropical detour. The iconic Scotch whisky brand has unveiled the 12 Year Old Jamaica Edition — the first release in its new “Beyond Speyside” series, which reimagines The Glenlivet’s classic character through global influences.

Former Miss Universe Jamaica Miqueal-Symone Williams and Scottish actor and The Glenlivet brand ambassador Thomas Doherty enjoy The Glenlivet Jamaica Edition Banana Old Fashioned.

Finished in casks that once held Jamaican rum, this limited-edition whisky infuses The Glenlivet’s smooth Speyside style with vibrant tropical notes of coconut, pineapple, and caramel. The result: a sun-soaked twist on a timeless classic.

To bring this first “Beyond Speyside” journey to life, The Glenlivet has partnered once again with Scottish actor Thomas Doherty, who stars in a new campaign that immerses him in Jamaica’s culture — from beachside dominoes to local bars — styled by Jamaican-Scottish designer Nicholas Daley. Daley’s fusion of tartan textures and Caribbean color reflects the whisky’s blend of Scottish craft and island vibrancy. Their collaboration will continue with a capsule collection launching in 2026, featuring travel-ready designs inspired by both cultures.

“The Glenlivet has always been about exploration and craftsmanship,” said Kevin Balmforth, The Glenlivet Cask Master. “The Jamaica Edition embodies that spirit, pushing boundaries while staying true to our smooth, refined roots.”

Adding another layer to the experience, Jamaican-American chef DeVonn Francis created dishes to pair with the whisky — blending Scottish and Jamaican flavors for a full sensory journey.

The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Jamaica Edition can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in a Banana Old Fashioned for a taste of the tropics.
